Frame rate test
The same fish swims at different frame rates. Higher rates look smoother and sharper, but only if your screen can show them.
Your screen seems to be running at about…Measuring. Keep this tab in front.
If the number looks wrong
- Bought a 144 Hz monitor but seeing 60? In Windows, open Settings, then System, Display, Advanced display, and choose the highest refresh rate.
- Check your cable. High refresh rates usually need DisplayPort or a newer HDMI cable and port.
- Laptops on battery and power-saving modes can lower the refresh rate to save energy.
- Browsers can only run as fast as your screen, so lanes faster than your screen are greyed out.
- The measurement is an estimate. Background tabs or a busy computer can make it read low, so try measuring again.
